Important Message Re: Covid 19

The leadership of The Michaels Organization is intensely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 on our teammates, residents, vendors, partners, and the communities that we own and manage. Our main focus is, and always will be, on the health and welfare of our 2,000 teammates and their families, and on the families, military personnel, seniors, and students who call our communities home.

We are following all local, state, and federal guidance on minimizing the risk of exposure, social distancing, and cleaning and disinfecting procedures. We have implemented temporary policies to safeguard our residents and staff, including closing community gathering spaces and limiting visitors to essential service providers/and food program deliveries. Our management and leasing offices are only available by appointment, and only life-safety related, emergency work orders are being handled. We are requesting that our residents use the secure online resident portals to pay their rents. Managers are available to discuss arrangements for those whose financial situations have been impacted.

Additionally, at our affordable living communities, we are strengthening our partnership with Better Tomorrows to provide essential services to our most vulnerable populations of residents.

Michaels’ corporate-based and regional teammates are working remotely, and our development, finance, and construction teams remain available and focused on crafting housing solutions for both the short- and long-term.
